REIMBURSEMENT PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION ART. N. 132/2024 AS AMENDED BY N. 211/2025
Starting Monday, June 1, 2026, Measure 8.bis of ART Resolution No. 132/2024, as amended by No. 211/2025, comes into force – “Measures concerning the minimum content of specific rights, including compensation, that users can claim from motorway concessionaires and operators of services provided within the service areas of the motorway network.”
The conditions under which a user is entitled to a refund and the methods for calculating it are defined by ART Resolution No. 132/2024, as amended by No. 211/2025.
The right to a full or partial toll refund is provided in the event of limitations on the use of the motorway section, and in particular in the event of non-emergency and non-moving roadworks or events disrupting regular traffic that have led to traffic blockages, as provided for in Transport Regulatory Authority Resolution No. 132/2024, as amended by No. 211/2025.
The refund is due for journeys made from June 1, 2026, exclusively on the motorway network managed by ITP (entry and exit toll booths within the network managed by ITP).
How to request a toll refund
The refund can be requested by individuals, professionals, and companies who pay with electronic toll collection devices, cards, or cash for journeys made, from June 1, 2026, exclusively within the motorway network managed by ITP S.p.A. With both entry and exit toll booths on the A5 Turin-Ivrea-Quincinetto, A4/A5 Ivrea-Santhià, A55 Turin Ring Road System (SATT), Turin-Pinerolo branch, and A21 Turin-Alessandria-Piacenza sections, if the route includes at least one elementary section affected by one or more non-emergency and non-moving roadworks.
