From 1 December 2024, the concessionaire ITP (Ivrea – Torino – Piacenza) will manage the motorway sections A21 Torino-Alessandria-Piacenza, A5 Torino-Ivrea-Quincinetto, A4/A5 Ivrea-Santhià and A55 Sistema Autostradale Tangenziale di Torino.
The Company is continuing to carry out the following works already started by the previous concessionaires, namely:
- A4/A5 Ivrea-Santhià motorway junction – Seismic upgrading of Camolesa Viaduct (IN PROGRESS);
- A5 Torino-Quincinetto motorway and A4/A5 Ivrea-Santhià – Adaptation of lateral protections on overpass FS Chivasso-Aosta and GTT Torino-Rivarolo (COMPLETED);
- Upgrading of road lighting systems at the Bruere and Settimo forecourt and at the Corso Orbassano, Ivrea, Settimo and Drosso junctions (COMPLETED);
- Implementation of a dynamic monitoring system for the remote control of viaducts (IN PROGRESS).
In relation to the A4/A5 Ivrea-Santhià section, it has completed the temporary diversion at the Camolesa Viaduct, on which traffic can pass without massive restrictions.
Planning is also under way, in agreement with the granting body, for the new works for the safety of the existing motorway infrastructure envisaged in the call for tenders for the management of the A5 Torino-Ivrea-Quincinetto, A4/A5 Ivrea-Santhià and A55 Sistema Autostradale Tangenziale di Torino, namely:
- measures to secure against the risk of flooding on the motorway axis known as the “Ivrea Hydraulic Node”;
- hydraulic defence works at the Chisola and Rio Torto streams;
- noise abatement works;
- adaptation of overpasses on the provincial road network to category one bridges;
- adaptation of the structure over the Orco stream and access embankments.
Further extraordinary maintenance is also planned and will be identified annually by the Granting Body.
